Filter tab

(Not available in the Lite version)

The filter tab allows you to specify a TextPipe Pro filter list to use to clean up the text of each email and attachment. The filter can perform functions such as removing unwanted white space, removing unwanted blank lines, reformatting the text with word wrap and removing garbage (binary) characters. It can also be used to insert data into a database.

TextPipe filter file to apply

This field specifies the TextPipe Pro filter file to use. Leave this field blank if you don't want to filter each email. Click the browse button on the right hand edge of the field to specify a new filter. This allows you to choose an existing filter (.fll) file. The default is: C:\Program Files\AbusePipe\Filters\extract.fll

Edit

Click the Edit button to edit the filter file specified. This opens TextPipe Pro to edit the filter.

Go to web site

Clicking this button opens a web browser at DataMystic's web site.

An indicator message is displayed beside the button that shows if TextPipe has been installed and detected. This indicator should always read 'TextPipe is installed' (if you hover the mouse over the label it will show you where it thinks TextPipe is installed). AbusePipe Pro and TextPipe Pro should both be reinstalled if TextPipe is not shown as installed. TextPipe Pro can be downloaded from the DataMystic web site. If you have purchased AbusePipe Pro, you can download the registered version of TextPipe Pro by logging in to the secure area and going to Downloads.
