Upload Attachments

DetachPipe allows you to send huge attachments (3 MB and above) via our secure website DetachPipe.com. Large customers can even license their own DetachPipe.com server to run on their own server/network, providing large data files to customers in a secure, private manner.

A DetachPipe.com account is quite separate to the DetachPipe Add-In for Outlook software, and is paid for according to bandwidth and disk space used.

You can obtain a free trial account by clicking the DetachPipe toolbar button\Settings, Large Attachments? tab.

To Disable This Feature

In a corporate environments you may wish to restrict this functionality (and hide the Upload menu). You can either install DetachPipe with the following command line:

  Detachpipe.exe /DisableUpload=1

to disable the Upload menus and the DetachPipe.com tab of the Settings dialog.

You can also control this setting via the Registry with

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DataMystic\DetachPipe\DisableUpload

A setting of 1 disables, a setting of 0 enables.
