Output Files tab

This tab allows you to change where the output files are saved, how they are named and how they are numbered.

Folder to save resumes to

The name of the folder to save resumes in. Click the folder open icon at the right hand side of the field to choose from a list of folders.

Filename format and extension

This field controls the name given to each resume as it is saved. Preset values can be selected from the drop-down list by clicking on them. The name MUST include special characters (the characters '%d' in the filename at the very least) to show where the sequence number should be positioned (at the start of the filename, at the end, in the middle etc) and how it should be formatted (with five leading zeroes, with leading spaces etc). It is normal for the filename to have an extension or type of .txt, a text file. Macros can be placed in the field to insert email-specific information.

A sample filename is shown below this field, giving an indication of how it will look.

First filename number

This field controls the starting number in a sequence of numbered resume filenames. When you start processing, if the first filename already exists, ResumePipe will prompt you to make sure you want to continue.

Save Manual attachments to

Attachments with an action of 'Print to default printer' or 'Save to ResumePipe's 'manual' folder' are automatically saved to this folder. This option is very handy for printing Adobe .PDF files, because these files cannot have information automatically extracted from them. PDF files can only be scanned or OCRed (Optical Character Recognition) after being printed. A copy of the full email extract is also saved to this folder, with the same filename but an extension of .txt added.

Click the folder open icon at the right hand side of the field to choose from a list of folders.
